This is my another tote bag I've completed. This is a bit hard and at last I've made it. It took me about 3 days to study the pattern. :p

Amigurimi - Kawan
These is my new kawan. Kawan is Malay for Friend. I found this pattern from this website (http://www5a.biglobe.ne.jp/~mite/diagram/crochetedCat.html) and I alter the patterns a little and it became a bear, instead of cat.... Why teddy bear? Because I wish to have a teddy bear. (Although it is not Mr. Bean teddy bear. )

Yellow Maple - Tote
My Yellow Maple just join the Purse Week Contest. I wanted to tell you that there are many creative talented people in the world! They are unique in it's way. If you have time, you can go to Flickr. Beautiful unique purses! If you had one, do join too!

Below is my very own design clutch, called Yellow Maple.
My Description:
Last year I did a purse called Ellie {a purse that big enough to put all my things} to join the Purse Week Contest. This year I did a clutch. A clutch that put lesser things {especially credit cards}. There are only 2 compartments for the card. Yes! Only 2 and I planned for it! Why? I spend alot and now it is time to save some money. Now a days, I bring enough money and 1 credit card. I try to spend mindfully.
Here are the quote I like {and I put it in my clutch to remind myself}:
Our needs are few,
Our wants are many,
Pursue only what we can and should acquire,
Never Pursue what we can't and shouldn't acquire.

Marilyn I - Tote

A day to remember : 6 August 2011
Today is Andy Warhol’s Birthday and it is also my Shop Opening Day at idamku.etsy.com. I am glad for myself. ^.^ Although not many products at first, but I will keep adding my products to my shop from time to time.
I would like to share with you that today is also a Chinese Valentine’s day (Qixi Festival - seventh day of the seventh lunar month). This is a day for a young cowherd named Niulang and the seventh daughter of the Goddess named Zhinü meeting/unite once a year.

Flowers in Progress II
I have done the sewing. I am quite contented with the outcome of my ‘Flowers’ tote bag at the moment. I hope you do. It’s time to assemble both inside and outside {the crochet and the cloth} together. Need to apply my hand skill to needle. It's another meditative state of mind. It made me peaceful and content again. ^.^
I will show you the finish product on August. At the moment I started to do another bag called ‘Sunset’. I plan to design my poster using ‘Sunset’.
FYI: Senja in Malay mean ‘Sunset’.

Flowers in progress
On my last post {Marilyn and Electric Chair} - both of them still in progress. I know it’s been a long time waiting for it to birth. I promised, Marilyn will be deliver and post on August. I targeted to launch my first project on 6 August 2011. This is the date where was Andy Warhol’s birthday. This is my first project and I named it ‘I heart Andy Warhol’.And all the products’ name that I choose is according to Andy Warhol’s masterpiece title.
Why I choose Andy Warhol? He is one of my favourite artist all the while and happened that, one time I was thinking to design a tote bag - a crochet tote.It is for trial/experiment. I’m not sure the final outcome is good at that time, but than I like the finish outcome and I decide to name it ‘Nyonya’ {a malay word for Madam}. Nyonya a bit old-fashion/antiquated. Then, one day, I surf net and I come across Andy Warhol’s masterpiece called ‘Flowers’. When I saw the ‘Flowers’, it reminds my bag and I named my bag ‘Flowers’. From the day onwards, it gives me inspirations to carry on.
Now I make another ‘Flowers’ tote bag. I have finished the crochet part and allow me to show you my progress. I am looking forward for the final outcome. I hope my bag as beautiful as a flower.

Artsy Bird II
My first finished project from me with my Aurora. It is a purse design from me. I use the left over fabric from my previous project Artsy Bird.
I feel quite disappointed with myself. Why? It is because the measurement is not quite right. It’s kind of experiment to myself. I started using it already and every time I saw my purse, it will remind me the mistake that I have made.
Indirectly, I love my purse. ^.^

Electric Chair, The Idea
On half way on doing my 'Marilyn' bag, I suddenly felt like to crochet. I find a pattern and crochet. Then i think what should i do with this pattern? So I come out an idea doing another bag called 'Electric Chair'. It is actually a sling bag.
Hmm...The pattern looks more flowery than the electric chair, but why 'Electric Chair'?

Artsy Bird
Recently I have a bird family live outside of my compound. This is our family highlights these days. Sometimes, I peeled at them from my window and make sure they are safe. We love the birds and I think my August too {my pet dog}. Everytime, we 'shoo..!' the cats, August will bark them away...
And it happened, that I choose an artsy bird fabric for my next bag creation. I called it the 'Artsy Bird' bag. I started like birds. Do you like birds as well? I don't have any specific bird that I like most yet, but soon I will ... ^.^
I hope you like my bag!
Papa bird and Mama bird are looking for a place,
A place for their future children to be born,
"Ah Hah! This is the place!"
Papa told Mama....
Papa and Mama finding materials,
Finding materials to build their nest.
Not a luxurious nest...
But a comfort and save nest for their children...
I'm not sure when was Mama bird laying the eggs,
But I know she is in the nest for almost everyday,
From day to night, till rain and thunder,
She is still protecting her children,
And waiting for her children to be hatched.
This is the moment!
The moment of two little tiny bird are born,
Papa bird come visit his children,
Papa and Mama are so happy....
Well, there are a cat below their nest,
But Papa and Mama seem not so afraid of the cat,
Because they know that they have protection,
A protection from us.
Papa and Mama take turns to find food for their children,
Even though, they know we are protecting them,
It seem that they are alert every moment,
Because their love one need love from them.
I feel that they are a good Papa and Mama in the world,
Not because of they feed their children and give them shelter,
Because they know and trust their children's ability.
The ability has come!
Papa and Mama sense it!
Papa said,
"Son! Please remember.You have the ability.
The ability that leads you to freedom and happiness.."
The sons was afraid,
Mama said,
"Spread your wings!
You have a strong and beautiful wings..."
But Mama seem worried,
And I know how Mama feels,
As I know Mama is a Worrier and Papa is a Warrior...
Papa said,
"Please know your ability,
And please remember that.
You no need to find it somewhere else.
You've got it inside your heart."
Mama said,
"Please remember your very first taking off and fly,
It's like happiness are come to you..
You are free to fly up and down, left and right,
And that is your ability..."
Papa added,
"All obstacles is not a problem,
Problem is you forget your ability,
And please remember this until you die,
Because it leads you to freedom and happiness."
Both sons spread their wings,
Up up they fly,
And accompany by their parents,
From the day onwards,
I never see them coming back to the nest,
I am happy and have a gratitude to the Bird family,
Because they give me a profound teaching.
And I added few words here,
Don't abuse your child or your own ability,
By ordering your child, do not fly up and down, left and right,
Only FLY straight...
You will destroy you and your child ability....

Heart Shaped
Over the past two years, I'd begin my self-taught handmade lesson {crochet, patch work and sewing}. They are very challenging and teach me how to be patience. Honestly speaking, I did learn crochet myself when I was young, but unsuccessful. I always adore my sister’s crochet, but every time I try, it just end up with a messy knot. I was thinking maybe I am a left-handed person. Until past 2 years, I try again and it was successful! Although it was not quite need looking, but it was my first crochet.
Time past very fast. I’ve been working in corporate world for a long time. I am still attached with corporate world now and wanted to transform my career to craftwork. I am not sure it will be successful in the future, but what I know now it’s my passion.
Let me please introduce myself here. I am Senja. Senja in malay for sunset. I named myself, Senja and I find it suitable for me because most of the time I started my hand work in the evening after my office hour.
My new journey had started and this is just the beginning. Wish me luck! ^.^

I called it Ellie because it's looks like an elephant and big enough to put all my things. I love it very much because I design myself and handmade by me. I am proud to have Ellie because it's unique and it's the only Ellie {the purse} in the world.
Hmmm.......I wonder if I got top 10.
